Deshaun has a background in martial and healing arts, such as Northern Shaolin Kung Fu, Tai Chi, and Qi Gong, which he studied under his Sifu, Roy Sovari for over 15 years. He also studied with other great teachers at The Academy of Chinese Culture and Health Sciences, where he studied TCM.
Tui na is a 2000 year old, hands-on body treatment that uses a cross of Chinese taoist and martial arts principles, in an effort to harmonize mind and body, to remove blockages along the meridians of the body and stimulate the flow of energy (qi) and blood to promote healing from within, and bring the eight principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) into balance.
What conditions can Tui Na Treat?
Tui Na is known to treat both acute and chronic musculoskeletal conditions, such as low back pain, shoulder pain, neck pain, headache, insomnia, gastric pain, dysmenorrhea and other commonly encountered diseases, by stimulating acupressure points and regulating functions of the internal organs.

Qi Gong / Tai Chi
During our classes we focus on the basic Tai Chi principles, going over warm ups, stretches, and basic forms. You can also get a couple friends together and start your own iTaiChi group with a custom program, designed to fit everyone's fitness and experience level while still providing challenging and fun workouts. We work to strengthen and condition the body as well as the mind with low and no impact movements. A wide array of moving and sitting meditation and Qi Gong exercises, including Tai Chi and numerous traditional and contemporary forms are taught.
